前言:

這是去年 2016 的研究。究竟睡眠音樂值不值得做,本文探討了安眠藥的市場、音樂與失眠的關係,以及穿戴式裝置扮演的角色!

Summary:

一,失眠:

睡眠失調共分六類,其中以失眠為代表 [1]。治療失眠,主要是以藥物改變體內化學物質的平衡 [2],參考圖1。資料顯示,安眠藥在台灣的市場規模是新台幣$1 billion (2013) [3],用量從327 million (2013) [4] 增加到339 million (2014) [5]。安眠藥在美國的市場規模是美金$1.5 billion (2014) [6]。在一項針對1996~2015間5841份失眠研究報告的調查中,顯示近五年來,學者的研究方向,已從藥物治療轉向另類療法,雖然安眠藥仍然主導失眠的市場,但非藥物性的治療,展現了極大的潛力 [7]。

二,音樂與失眠:

音樂屬於非藥物性的治療。音樂在改善失眠上,有很好的效果 [8]-[12],不管是對於成人 [8]-[11] 或老人 [12];此外,也有助於年輕人熟睡 [13]。研究顯示,睡前聽音樂對老人失眠的幫助,比傍晚運動邊聽音樂來的高 [12]。

三,測量睡眠品質的裝置:

標準的測試是 polysomnography (PSG) [14]。市售裝置已能以心電圖機 (ECG) 達到與 PSG 接近的效果 [12]。穿戴式裝置,2020年在美國可達到$8.5 billion 的市場規模(使用人數大增) [15] 。

結論:

綜合以上所述,以穿戴式裝置收集生理資訊為基礎的線上音樂推薦系統,具有極大的商機。
